In response to Israel’s announcement that no deal will be reached with Hamas until Gilad Shalit is released, Hamas in Gaza and Damascus is remaining firm, blaming Israel of “sabotaging negotiations”. The terrorist organization’s leaders are unwilling to show any leniency, insisting they will not budge until Israel lifts the Gaza blockade.

Hamas also stated that it will not negotiate anything regarding Shalit until Gaza crossing are opened and “Israel ceases its aggression”.
