New York City transit authorities say a person has been struck by a subway train in Upper Manhattan. The extent of the injuries is not immediately known.

The accident, involving a southbound A train, occurred at 190th Street.

NYC Transit suspended service on the A line in both directions between 207th and 168th streets.

There is no other information at this time.
