  1. It is finally nice to see someone getting recognized on this website for a secular achievement. We live in a world where for some reason the frum population frowns upon such accomplishments. It is truly an honor to be nominated for an emmy and the 11PM newscast is second to none. For all who have a television and interested in unbiased media, watch it. Continue your great success and keep up the great work. Congratulations on such an unbelievable accomplishment.

  2. I agree – such achievements by prominent members of our community like Lee represent a kiddush hashem and I join in applauding her accomplishents. Best wishes for continued future success as a source of a nachas for Klal Yisroel.

  3. Watching you chair this years sponsorship committee for Shalvah and your tireless efforts on behalf of others in need gave you two Emmys in our book a while ago! Congratulations for this icing on the cake! May you continue to grow from strength to strength Lee, and in all honesty, we have noticed CBS news at 11 is unbiased, honest and the most entertaining of all networks.

  4. I went to High School with Lee Kushnir, she was known for being exceptionally intelligent…really, really smart, and very funny. Everyone wanted to be her friend. It’s nice to see someone we always admired do well.

  5. Mazel Tov to Lee on her accomplishment, however, peolple should be aware that there is a Frum journalist that has already received 5 Emmys. Noah Gurock who works for UPN in New Jersey is a Frum Shomer Shabbos who has worked as both assignment editor and 6 o’clock news producer for UPN TV. Both these jobs are very demanding yet Noah has never had to compromise his Yiddishkeit. He and his wife live in Passac and are known for their Tzedakah and Chesed. Noah volunteers regularly for JMINTHEAM as well.
