On Sunday morning at at 5:49AM, the NYPD responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Nostrand Avenue and Flushing Avenue, in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn – within the confines of the 79 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with serious traumatic injuries. EMS also responded to the location and transported the aided male to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation by the NYPD’s Highway Unit’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that a Daily News delivery truck (white late-model International) operated by the 24-year-old male, was traveling southbound on Nostrand Avenue approaching Flushing Avenue at the same time a 2011 green Toyota Camry (taxi) was traveling eastbound on Flushing Avenue approaching Nostrand Avenue. The vehicles made impact with each other, causing the delivery truck to overturn, coming to a rest at the location.
The passenger of the truck, a 58-year-old male, was also removed to Woodhull Hospital via EMS, where he is listed in stable condition. The operator of the taxi, a 26-year-old male, was treated at the scene by EMS.
There are no arrests. The investigation is ongoing.

He ran the first light can’t really see if he ran the second one
He did not run the second light. You can see the truck already turning when the light turned red. From that dash cam video, it shows that taxi is at fault. NYPD might have a better view of accident, but based solely on that dash video, taxi driver should be charged with vehicular manslaughter.
