MK (Bayit Yehudi) Betzalel Smotrich told Knesset Channel that for him and his colleagues, it is not about kovod or titles, but in the end of the day they must be able to agree with the makeup of the new coalition before signing any agreements.
Smotrich points out PM Netanyahu has frozen construction in yishuvim throughout Yehuda and Shomron, stating this is unacceptable. When asked about the rights of PA (Palestinian Authority) residents, he said “Don’t expect me to be the United Nations. I am a Jew and a Zionist…”
Smotrich calls the current housing shortage a “catastrophe” and insists something must be done. On this matter he added it would by the political left and right are in agreement. He adds today the cost of living remains too high and his party must feel it is in a position to affect change.
“We were elected to advance a certain agenda. If we feel we cannot fill that mandate then if need be, we can go to new elections again”.

They went to election. Bayit Yehudi and Yisrael Beiteinu lost. If they were serious, they would support the winner, Likud, in forming a coalition of nationalists and religious parties, rather than forcing a coalition of Likud with the socialists.
Although it isn’t nice how Netanyahu is dealing with them, (especially after it’s pretty clear that many of their votes went to Likud only because he promised to include them) – it’s clear to me that all those who started up with Hashem’s chosen ones, the Lomdei Torah, are all having a downfall…
Man, that broad won’t shut her mouth for 2 seconds to let Mr. Smotrich finish a sentence without being interrupted! Very unprofessional.
they have also frozen construction in jewish parts of Jerusalem like har homa and ramat shlomo and suburbs such as maale adumim and promised areas like E-1 have only continued illegal arab construction on land they don’y own.Israel elected a right-wing gov’t,Bibi needs to deliver housing and development of jewish land!
Its time once and for all to stop Zigzagging and dodging. With Likud and especially netanyahu there are no fixed policies. Its all just political survival. Thats why I like bayit yehudi (and yachad). They have set policies and they are true to them
1. Am Yisrael 2. Torat Yisrael. 3. Eretz Yisrael.
ENough with the building freezes. Enough. The world hates us no matter what. We need to lay down the policies and execute them. Massive building in Jerusalem and Yehuda and Shomron. This political zigzagging is even relevant during the Gaza war. WHAT was the ultimate goal? Likud does not have a policy. I dont mind what the policy is just lay it out please. By the way akuperma and MDshweks, where do you both live? Have you been willing to lay your life down for Am Yisrael like naftali bennett, yni chetboun, smotrich, eli yishai? Answer these questions. These peolpe are going to be way above me and you in Olam Haba
