Israel Police National Traffic Unit Chief of Operations Commander Ilan Mor gave a press briefing for the chareidi media as preparations in Meron for Lag B’Omer are underway. The senior police official reports the lessons of previous years have been learned and significant improvements can be expected this year.

Mor added there will be a large police presence to see to the needs of the many visitors. The main improvement he adds will be regarding bus service, pointing out each bus line will be identified by a different colored flag to facilitate finding the correct line in the bus parking area. There will be heavy lighting to make this possible during the nighttime hours too.

Commander Mor added that public address announcements will be made in Yiddish too in the hope the tzibur hears the announcements which will assist the travelers towards ensuring an uneventful day for all.
