A suspect has just been taken into custody regarding the forcible touching of a child this past Sunday.

Law enforcement sources tell YWN that the suspect is a 16-year-old male, who resides in the neighborhood.

The arrest comes after an intense investigation by the NYPD Special Victims Squad.

As YWN reported, on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at approximately 9:23AM, in front of 551 Flushing Avenue near Nostrand Avenue, a suspect approached an 11-year-old male from behind and touched his groin area while the victim was waiting for the bus. The victim then fled from the location while the suspect fled on foot towards The Marcy Houses. The victim did not sustain physical injuries as a result of the incident.
