NEVE-PTI Inaugural Shabbaton

This past Shabbos was both exciting and memorable as NEVE-PTI had its inaugural Shabbaton, followed by a Melava Malka.  The Shabbaton was a wonderful reunion for those who have attended Neve Yerushalayim in Israel and was an excellent opportunity to meet and share time with those who will be participating in our new program.  The highlight of the Shabbaton was the Melava Malka.  More than 80 ladies were treated to hearing first hand about our program from Rabbi Shlomo Singer Shlita, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva PTI and NEVE-PTI, Rabbi Yona Refson Shlita, Neve Yerushalayim lecturer and staff member and son of the founder of Neve Yerushalayim and Rabbi Pinchos Jung Shlita, Menahel at Bais Rochel of Monsey, Mashgiach Ruchani of Ohr Esther and NEVE-PTI lecturer.

Rabbi Singer stressed the importance of the womens role in Chinuch Banim (religious education of children) and how having a high level of erudite learning is very important for their own growth and the spiritual growth of the family.  Rabbi Refson & Rabbi Jung both discussed the importance of surrounding yourself in an environment of loving and supporting people who strive for similar religious values and goals.

After the speeches, the attendees had time to meet and greet the other lecturers that we feel so honored to have in our program; Mrs. Rena Dworetsky, former lecturer at Neve Yerushalayim and current teacher at Maalot NY as well as other seminaries; and Mrs. Ivy Kalazan, former lecturer at Eyaht (Aish HATorahs womens division) and current teacher at Bais Rochel in Monsey.  Both are lifelong educators of the highest caliber who strive in instilling excellence in their Talmidos (students).  Classes begin Tuesday and Wednesday February 10 & 11.  For further information, please call Mrs. Shuli Mintz, the NEVE-PTI director, at 908-278-4059 or e-mail [email protected].
