The Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court has handed down a 45-month jail sentence for Oded Tal, a former Central District director of Israel Lands Administration, who was convicted of accepting bribes from developer David Appel and contractor Sami Matzlawy.

Justice Dan Mor had harsh words for the former senior civil servant who put his own personal interests ahead of the his position and responsibilities.
