Kadima leader Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in her Monday address to the Herzliya Conference stated that she alone can bring peace, which can only be accomplished as prime minister.
She told the conference that she rejects those who believe we can have “peace or security,” insisting one who believes one may attain security without peace is mistaken. Such a person she added “does not understand the world in which we live”.
While Kadima seems unable to improve its standing in the polls, Kadima officials insist that the party’s internal polls indicate a tie between Livni and the Likud’s Binyamin Netanyahu. She also spoke of the need to make changes in the government, unwilling to permit the current situation to continue in which the nation cannot oust a prime minister, emphasizing the need to work for government reforms in the future.
