Tens of supporters of Gilad Shalit took their message to the Herzliya Conference on Monday, holding a demonstration demanding his release. They called on senior government officials, many attending the conference, to “bring Gilad home before the elections”.
The Arabic Jerusalem-based al-Quds newspaper reports the government has agreed to a deal with Hamas that led to the ceasefire, by which Shalit will be released in exchange for Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti and a number of other Hamas military leaders.
