Livni’s Days as Kadima Leader are Numbered

According to journalist Yoav Yitzchak, if Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni does not lead her Kadima Party to an election victory, she will be ousted from her leadership position if she fails to draw the proper conclusions from an election defeat on her own.

While Livni continues to exhibit confidence towards an election victory, polls show a different reality and Kadima officials do realize the election appears lost. According to Yitzchak, shortly after such a loss, if Livni does not resign as party leader, she will be ousted as having failed to establish a coalition government and then for the loss in the elections. Analysts agree that a Kadima loss will compel the party to hold primary elections to choose a new leader.

Livni’s efforts to portray herself as the new era politician, incorruptible and above reproach, have failed, leaving an image of a leader who lacks a resume and experience as a leader, leaving vague statements and empty promises for a better tomorrow.
