Officials in Jerusalem are feeling the pressure of the mounting criticism in the international arena. They are not taking a ‘sit back and wait’ approach, but rather working to combat the lies being disseminated by the enemies of the Jewish State and the Jewish People.
The Ministry of Absorption is working with other government agencies and a reported 1,000 multi-lingual bloggers have been enlisted as a volunteer army to assist in the public relations defense battle. Foreign Ministry officials are involved in the effort, seeking to put Israel’s message out on the internet in as many languages as possible.
Ministry officials report the response has been overwhelming and there are volunteers who speak English, Russian, French, German, Spanish and other languages involved in the media effort.

This is an old tactic that has been most recently used to turn the tide against President Bush by Left Wing bloggers. We know terrorists hide behind civilians…now its time to get the word out.
How can we all join?
Just to show what can be done is illustrated in a small note in today’s New York Times.
“An Op-Ed article on Jan. 8, on misperceptions of Gaza, included an unverified quotation. A former Israeli Defense Forces chief of staff, Moshe Yaalon, was quoted as saying in 2002 that “the Palestinians must be made to understand in the deepest recesses of their consciousness that they are a defeated people.” This quotation, while cited widely, does not appear in the Israeli newspaper interview to which it is usually attributed. Its original source has not been found, and thus it should not have appeared in the article”.
This tiny mostly unnoticed note doesn’t undo the damage done by a totally false and baseless quote in the so-called “newspaper of record”.
Yeah, just look at the WikiPedia article covering Cast Lead. And you can’t even try to correct it, because the jerks on the other side will keep pushing it back and pretending that consensus is their way.
