Likud officials are making the rounds, working to drum up support for Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein who they wish to have serve a second term. Likud officials are working in earnest to expedite the process. It is hoped that the process will be completed by next week so the vote can coincide with the opening of the 20th Knesset.

Supporters of Edelstein believe they can get at least 68 MKs to support Edelstein’s reelection, including MKs from Likud, Bayit Yehudi, Shas, Yahadut Hatorah and Yisrael Beitenu parties.
