Following the horrific fire in Flatbush, the FDNY will be handing out smoke alarms, batteries as well as important literature at four locations in Flatbush on Sunday morning / afternoon.They will be at the following locations from 11:00AM – 3:00PM:
* Bedford Avenue and Avenue M
* Avenue M and East 16th Street
* Avenue L and East 16th Street
* Avenue J and East 16th Street.

The fire department reacts instantly, doing what they can to prevent such tragic instances in the future. Are we doing all we can? Following such an incident, everyone is required to do some soul searching to try to prevent any future tzaros, so we can say “yadanu lo shafchu es hafam hazeh”.
