Right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh took aim today at President Barack Obama’s warning to top Republicans that they need to quit listening to the conservative talker if they want to get along.
“Now this is the great unifier,” Limbaugh told listeners just after noon today. “This is the man who’s going to unify everybody and usher in a new era of bi-partisanship and love.”
According to the New York Post, Obama told top Republican leaders on Friday that they need to stop listening to Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration. Obama’s comments came during a White House meeting to discuss his $1 trillion stimulus package, the newspaper reported.
“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” Obama told top GOP leaders, according to the Post.
According to Limbaugh, Obama “basically told them stop listening to me. That’s not how things get done in Washington. We can’t let Rush Limbaugh stall the stimulus plan.”
Limbaugh said today that Obama’s more frightened of him than Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) and House Minority leader John Boehner (R-Ohio).
“He’s obviously more frightened of me than he is Mitch McConnell. He’s more frightened of me, then he is of say, John Boehner, which doesn’t say much about our party,” Limbaugh said.
Limbaugh today planned to unveil his own bipartisan plan to “resolve the fight over the stimulus package.”
“I think Obama wants me to fail,” Limbaugh said. “President Obama, by telling you and the elected Republicans in Washington to not listen to me because I am not how things get done in Washington, he has said that he wants me to fail.”
He then said Obama’s comments didn’t matter, arguing that the president is “sprinting so far to the left” during his first week in office.
“The Republicans haven’t been listening to me, anyway,” Limbaugh said. “It’s a moot point.”

“I think Obama wants me to fail,” Limbaugh said.
Why shouldn’t he? Limbaugh has previously said he wants Obama to fail.
The President of the united states is probably the most powerful person in the world, what’s this fighting going on about- does he think it’s a color war?! (I think he thinks so)If not for the FACT that Hashem runs the world I would be scared of such an amateur president!!!!!!!!!!
No folks, Rush Limbaugh did not say that he wants Obama to fail. I am listening to him at this moment online and no he never said that. He said that he wants Obama’s policies to fail.
But I want Obama to fail. He has has no respect for human life or respect for anyone else. He is extremely arrogant.
He ain’t my President! Neither is he anyone else’s, according the Constitution! Wake up America before it’s too late!
To understand why Obama is so worried about Limbaugh’s criticism, you need to revisit that famous fable “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”
Even one single little boy can expose a collasal fraud, and make the whole edifice collapse.
There is an entire community of people who thrive on discord and friction; certain lobby groups, political extremists of all striples – and Rush Limbaugh heads the list. His entire personna, and his parnasa, depend upon a continuing, never ending depiction of political life in America as a culture war between the rightous (him) and the evil (everyone to the left of the extreme right) – Get a life
rush is not a little boy so your analogy is flawed
Tr # 3, Flatbush Bubby – You tell ’em cowboy. We want a conservative evangelical President who has respect for life – life restricted to the unborn and good American conservative White folk, that is. Capital punishment is ok (forget Torah restrictions on capital punishment – this is the good ole USA, man), as them convicts ain’t normal people like us – neither are Eeraqees, Aiyraabs and other Untermenchen. Git Chodesh
2,3 and 4: The Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah has said otherwise and also said not to much such statements as you made.
these comments went way off the topic. take it to the cr people. why is this such a big deal anyway. who cares abt rush limbaugh
Dear nfgo, I want all of obama’s policies to fail because he will cause irreparable damage to our country that people lost lives to establish. If he takes the path he started trodding down, we will end up somewhere next to France and Belgium by the time this presidency is over. SCARY, look at what these countries look like, a center of anti-semitism. Obama wants to put the whole USA on a major welfare plan like it is in those countries. When people get money from the government for doing nothing, like they do in france and in other countries in Europe, or Socialist Countries, people don’t feel good about themselves, they don’t lead satisfactory lives and then they turn to evil, which is in todays world, anti-semitism or anti-israeli, which in their world go together.
So do you now understand why Obama’s policies MUST FAIL!!!
If you still don’t understand, you’re a lost case, and i’m sure you are a supporter of good ‘ol Jimmy Carter.
Limbaugh is a good friend of Frum Yidden, and has been so consistently for a very long time.)
(Yonason: Capital punishment is per the Torah. The Torah also insists, per one of the sheva mitzvos, that goyim establish courts and enforce laws.)
#11 – Obviously Obama cares about Rush Limbaugh!
Yonason, as far as I can tell Flatbush Bubby simply said that she wants Obama to fail because “He has no respect for human life”. I’d assume she meant that she wants him to fail in his quest to legalize the murdering of babies. Can you explain how this deserves a scathing, sarcastic comment indicating that Flatbush Bubby wants a white, christian president so he’ll kill all the non-white non-christians?
Oh, and Yonason, wouldn’t mocking the speech of a certain ethical/racial group and claiming that all members of this group think that non-members “ain’t normal people like us” be RACISM?! Or does that not apply to white christians?! Oh, I forgot, now the only thing racist is criticizing Obama. Silly me, got to keep with the times…
Limbaugh has divided this country for too long. It is time for us to pull together to find routes out of the abyss partisan politics brought us to.
Yonason, no defense?
