A suspect in multiple burglaries in WIlliamsburg has been arrested – thanks to the NYPD’s 90th Precinct and the Williamsburg Shomrim Patrol (WSPU).
A law enforcement sources tells YWN that 35-year-old Fawn Sharpe was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon after some hard work by Shomrim and NYPD Detectives.
Shomrim went through many hours of security camera footage until they were able to identify a partial plate number on the vehicle that the burglar was driving. The information was handed over to Detectives who continued their investigation and the arrest was made. He was taken into custody near his place of work in Brooklyn.
He was charged on Wednesday with three burglaries in the Williamsburg community. One was for a burglary committed at the Chestnut Supermarket on Myrtle Avenue last September and two burglaries were at the Lee Gardens Supermarket – one this past Motzei Shabbos.
All three were done when the stores were closed due to Shabbos.
Sharpe was charged with multiple counts of burglary. He also has previous arrests.
