Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita in back in his Kiryat Moshe home and aides report the Rav is once again returning to a schedule after an extended stay in Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center which began last Pesach.
The Rav had endured a great deal, including cardiac episodes and stroke, and has undergone a number of serious procedures as well as successful resuscitation. Baruch Hashem, Am Yisrael’s tefillos have been heard and the Rav is once again beginning to return to a daily schedule outside of the walls of the Jerusalem hospital.
Once cannot ignore the powerful story that circulated during the Gaza War, in which soldiers reports an “elderly lady” on several occasions prevented them from entering a building, later learned to be Rachel Imeinu according to the story.
Following is a link of a recent shiur delivered by Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Shlita, the Rav’s son and chief rabbi of Tzfat, in which he details the story and events, adding his father, Rav Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita asks, “did she tell you that I sent her?” http://www.machonmeir.org.il/hebrew/main_id.asp?id=7897
