Election Day Israel News Briefs (18:00-20:00)


gim· The Central Election Committee prohibited radio and TV to publish 17:45 media statement released by PM Netanyahu.

· Voter turnout at 18:00 reported to be 54.6%.

· 18:54: Labor party leader Yitzchak Herzog said “Netanyahu’s panic is embarrassing”.

· 19:15: Voter turnout in the Arab municipality of Um el-Fahm reported at 55%.

· 19:15: Voter turnout in the Wadi Ara (Nachal I’ron) reportedly 40%.

· Aryeh Deri: There will be simcha at 22:00.

· Eli Yishai explained to the media that his party representatives were attacked at polling stations nationwide.

· Bennett: We mustn’t permit the dati leumi to fall.

· 19:44: The picture does not look good. Likud has been working hard and pulling votes from us.

· 59% of IDF soldiers voted as of 17:00.

· 19:50: Meretz leader Zahava Gal-On critical of PM Netanyahu, who she accuses of inciting against the Israeli Arab population.

· Confrontation between party activists on Tzindik Street in Yerushalayim. The brawl includes pepper spray. At least one person in custody.

  1. This election will turn on whether Yachad makes the 3.25% election threshold. if they fall just short the right will lose 4 seats and the 3.25% will just about break even between right and left.

  2. This is one of the reasons we should not have a Jewish state.we have no business playing law makers we have law from g-d and that should be it.

  3. Yitzchok Herzog said “Netanyahu’s panic is embarrassing” Herzog is one big looser I am sure HE is embarrassed right now after he lost, he deserves it !! I am sure his zeidy Harav Herzog זצ”ל is fuming at him right now in שמים
