In a letter released this week by Chief Rabbi of Shomron Rabbi Elyakim Levanon Shlita, he calls on his followers to vote for the Yachad party. The rav calls on voters to act to prevent efforts to comprise the authority of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and continue anti-religious legislation.
Rav Levanon is a leading posek in the dati leumi community and he along with others including Rabbi Dov Lior Shlita and Rabbi Tzvi Tau Shlita broke away from Bayit Yehudi due to the legislation passed during the last administration.
