IDF officials responsibly for security arrangements for senior officers have assigned an agent to the Sharon area kibbutz home of Brigadier-General Avi Benayahu, the IDF spokesman, whose community is not far from the Green Line.

After evaluating the current threat level accompanied with the realization that during recent weeks Benayahu was seen on international television with IDF bombing operations in the background, the decision was made to provide him with a security agent to protect his home and family.

When asked to detail, IDF officials stated they are not in the habit of detailing security arrangements for its officers.
