VIDEO: Likud’s Major Campaign Blunder

likud[VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE]

Many are questioning how Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu viewed and approved a campaign video which has led to a storm. Senior party officials report that the damage from the video is considerable as civil servants are seated alongside with a Hamas terrorist as they all complain of being unemployed due to the prime minister’s reforms and policy decisions.

Histadrut labor federation leader Avi Nissankoren called the video “crossing a red line” and many union representatives have rejected the party’s attempt to apologize for the video after the fact.

The daily Yediot Achronot newspaper quotes “senior party officials” questioning Netanyahu’s judgment, including civil servants in the same frame with a Hamas terrorist and trying to make a comparison between senior union officials and a terrorist. The video portrays civil servants, factory workers and Hamas terrorists as the enemies of the prime minister.

The workers are complaining that they were dismissed from their high-paying positions due to Netanyahu’s reforms but the blunder come when Mustafa the terrorist is seated alongside with them complaining he too is unemployed because of the prime minister.

No one seems to have an explanation of how this was approved to be published and aired. The video has since been pulled.

  1. Not meant to be humorous. Meant to make the point that without a strong stance against Hamas and their ilk, there would be many more unemployed and without their homes, cities, or even country. The point is that the current government had to make difficult decisions. . .

  2. Comparing government workers to Hamas terrorists is not only unbelievably unfair to the government workers, it gives Hamas credibility as the *de facto* government of Gaza. This is exactly the opposite of what we should be doing!

Besides, the cuts in government were just as much the result of Yesh Atid as of Likud, as Lapid was Finance Minister.
