Katyusha rockets were fired into Israel from S. Lebanon for a second time in less than a week. Rockets landed in border communities. Baruch Hashem, there were no injuries.
18 rockets and mortar shells were fired into Israel from Hamas-controlled Gaza on Wednesday. IDF sources report that Hamas fired a phosphorus rocket for a first time.
The air force report striking over 50 targets in Gaza including 10 terror cells and 15 tunnels in the Rafiach area.
22 soldiers were injured in the fighting, one seriously, and the remainder moderate and light. It was also announced that soldiers of the elite Shayetet 12 are operating inside Gaza.
The Israel Navy maintains its closure of Gazan waters.
Over 1,000 have been killed in Gaza and over 4,500 injured.
