Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit is quoted by Israel Radio as saying his country will not open the Rafiach Crossing “to permit facilitating Hamas arming itself”. According to the report, the senior Egyptian official added that Egypt is bound to assist “the Palestinians in Gaza and not the Hamas regime”.
