Ashkelon; A Shabbos of Rocket Attacks

mdan4.jpgAshkelon was pounded with rockets fired from Gaza on Shabbos, numbering at least 15.

Despite Israel’s determination to adhere to a three-hour humanitarian pause in military operations in Gaza from 13:00-16:00, Hamas continued to fire rockets during that time period as the terrorists did on other days as well.

Four Katyusha rockets landed in one attack, leaving for people wounded from shrapnel, one moderately, one light-to-moderate and two light. Two people are also described in light condition due to their proximity to the actual blast.

In an attack shortly thereafter, a rocket slammed into an empty building and one person sustained moderate injuries. A gas leak resulted in the building as a result of the direct hit. A growing number of residents were treated for hysteria/shock.

  1. In that case, and even if they would actually behave something like human beings, I don’t think it is a good idea to have this one way, “break,” every day.
However, that is my opinion, but they should seek the opinion of the torah through its most capable spokesman.
