Recap of Day 12 of Operation Cast Lead (Wednesday)


idftankn3.jpg24 rockets were fired into southern Israel on Wednesday. Two people sustained light shrapnel injuries and others were treated for shock/hysteria.

Six of the rockets hit the Ashkelon area, with one landing in the yard of a home. A number of people were treated for hysteria.

Four Katyusha rockets landed in the Beersheva area. People were treated for hysteria/shock.

Eleven rockets landed in the Greater Sderot Area. Damage was reported to one home and some agricultural areas.

Two Katyusha rockets landed in the Ashdod area. A number of people treated for hysteria/shock.

For a first time since the ground forces incursion on Shabbos, there was an Israeli three-hour humanitarian pause in the fighting.

The air force struck over 40 targets.

10 soldiers were injured from Tuesday night until late Wednesday night.

Gaza sources reporting the death tool at 702 and over 3,000 injuries.
