MK Moshe Gafne spoke at the inauguration of an election headquarters in Petach Tikvah on Sunday 26 Shevat. He explained that the effort to draft chareidim into the military remains atop of the agenda and during the campaign they will explain what has been done to date and what is planned in the future.
He added that after days of traveling around the country he realizes there is a sizable tzibur in the non-religious community that wishes to support the party and this he feels is a matter of fact that is unprecedented in earlier elections.
He explains that voters are reaching a realization the chareidi party does not “zigzag” but remains true to its mission and the Members of Knesset are honest people who are concerned with the entire population.

All he has to do is make peace with Hagaon Reb Shmuel Auerbach and he will have another 15,000 votes.
Not likely to vote for them in the Kenesset election, but there are many voters who are supporting other parties who would be in favor of their parties allying with Yahadut ha-Torah to abolish conscription, including almost all supporters of Arab parties, much of the left, and even many religious right-wingers who do not share the anti-hareidi prejudices of their party leaders.
There has been a lot of negative PR recently on the chareidim because of the infighting and protests and the average person does not realize that its only on the fringe.
does he really believe that non religious will vote for them? ha ha ha ha ha.
We should take note of this – Jews have a part of them that always will remain pure and connected to it’s source. Even if it seems that some Jews are acting like the Czars and drafting yeshiva bochurim, we MUST keep this in mind. Somewhere, deep inside, there is a part of every single Jew that really values Torah and wants a connection to it. If we remain committed to it, and can see this element of those in whom it appeard hidden, then we will be able to bring this better side of them out. Imagine the kiddush Hashem that would result when we’re united in serving Hashem.
