Just in the past few hours, ISIS militants have taken control of the western Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi, moving dangerously close to an air base where United States Marines are training Iraqi troops, Reuters reported Thursday.
ISIS attacked al-Baghdadi from two directions earlier in the day and then advanced on the town, according to the news agency.
The militants have launched attacks on the heavily-guarded Ain al-Asad air base southwest of the town where hundreds of Marines are currently training Iraqi soldiers. As of now, the Air Base has not been infiltrated.
A death toll of the siege is unclear.
Pentagon spokeswoman Navy Commander Elissa Smith confirmed the fighting in al-Baghdadi. She said there had been no direct attack on the air base, adding: “There were reports of ineffective indirect fire in the vicinity of the base.”

Any group of 320 Americans, even Marines, probably contains some Jews. We should be davening for their safety.
Whether they are Jews or not we should daven for their safety because they put themselves into that danger to protect our safety, and they deserve hakaras hatov.

I am american rapper from Boston how stupid of the American government to allow the press to know exactly how many Marines at the base. If I where in the business of trying to take over a base first question I would ask is how many fighters in the base. If we shut up they would not know if there were 1000 marines
