A historic building near the Schneller complex in Yerushalayim was destroyed by bnei yeshiva. Police are investigating.
A week ago city inspectors were summoned to Malchei Yisrael Street and found talmidei Yeshivas Rozin were destroying a structure classified as “historic”, being over 100 years old and marked for preservation.
Yeshiva officials insist the building collapsed due to the snow. The city maintains nit was intentionally destroyed to permit the yeshiva to submit building plans.
City officials report the building was partially destroyed with a permit for doing so. The city has issued an immediate stop work order to preserve that which remains of the structure. The city is investigating the incident and is weighing what actions can be taken and what sanctions, if any, will be implemented. An official complaint has been filed with police.
Yeshiva officials insist they did not destroy the building in any way.

Wow, this article is conflicting. They “found talmidei Yeshivas Rozin were destroying a structure”, but then they had a permit to destory it.
A permit and they talmidei yeshivas rozin were doing construction? sounds interesting.
yeshiva officials claim it happened due to snow, so there was no construction being done at that time and it was not destroyed, but they don’t claim they had a permit. Sooo is the city saying they were ok destroying by permit and the yeshiva not saying this? Fishy.
Which building is it? Is it the one with the steeple & bell that has ” Herr J_ on front? If yes, Yasher Kochom!
