Chareidim are angry over municipality-sponsored Chilul Shabbos in Yerushalayim once again, this time over the “Front Stage” event scheduled for Cinema City on Friday, 24 Shevat.
The event is a day-long program beginning at 10:00, offering youths movies at a discounted price. Some 2.5 hours later there will be a stand-up performance and at 16:00, a dance program will get underway.
Chareidi city councilmen point out that candle light in Yerushalayim for Parshas Mishpatim is 16:48 and it is far from likely that the dance program will begin or end on time, before Shabbos.
When ask to comment, municipality officials stated that the program will run on time and end before Shabbos. They add that there will be a person there making sure of this.

Candle-lighting in Yerushalayim is 40 minutes before shkiah.
if the event does take place on friday
maybe a kiruv organization can organize a friday night program that takes place right after this event.
then all those coming can go straight to an inspiring friday night, have a free dinner….
maybe for those willing to stay they can arrange a place to sleep and a full weekend shabbaton.
take the opportunity to make a kiddush Hashem and try to avoid any demonstrations.

the kiruv organization “rock hurlers of jerusalem” will be there in full force, to invite people to join them in the slender of shabbos. Nothing says welcome, and shows how we are a light onto the nations as rocks thrown at cars.
#3 your full of hot air ive been living in yerushalayim proper near the mir for 5 years and have never seen a rock thrown at a car, or anything close to it. nor has anyone i knnow ever seen such. but that want stop you from bashing them. sorry to confuse you with the facts.
