An Israeli Police officer sustained light damage as a result of being hit by rocks during a stormy anti-draft protest outside of Elad on Sunday evening 19 Shevat. The officer was transported to a local hospital The protest was authorized, to permit participants to speak out against the arrest of talmidei yeshivos who have not reported to an induction center, but it did not take long until police commanders on the scene declared the event illegal as it became turbulent and violent.
The yeshiva students tried to block Route 444 but police moved in and prevented this, making a number of arrests.

The Real reason why they’re against the draft, is because there were so many Korbonos R”L by all the wars, including the latest Gaza war.
Which mother would want her son to be Moiser Nefesh, just because the Gov’t sends in foot soldiers instead of obliterating the place with air power.
why arent they learning. This is Bitul torah and sinat chinam. we all would be better off if the anger were directed at our enemies who seek to destroy us and if there are enemies at the doors of the Bet medrash in addition to saying Tehillim they surely will call the police and the IDF
#2: “why arent they learning. This is Bitul torah and sinat chinam”
So now protesting evil is sinat chinam? Way to go! If the rabbonim decide that a demonstration is necessary, than it is neither bitul Torah or sinat chinam.
1. The zionist are our real enemies because they try to make us do sins & the Gemara says “gadol hamachti yoser min hahorgoi” meaning someone who makes someone else sin is worse then someone who kills him, & the zionist got us into the whole problem to begin with so therefore we dont owe them anything when they come to save us. It’s like someone pushing you off a cliff and then catching you. (Brisker Rav)
So, #2, you think we should just abandon the bochurim sitting in jail because they listened to the rabbonim? Just abandon them and go on as if nothing had happened? Just go back to the bais medrash to the gemarah? Ever hear of Kol Yisroel areivim zeh lazeh? What you are proposing is REAL sinat chinam!!!
The Torah tells us that when Bnei Yisroel fought against Amalek in the midbar, Moshe Rabeinu sent Yehoshua to fight, and he himself went up a mountain. When he raised his hands, Bnei Yisroel succeeded, but when he lowered them, Amalek did. The pasuk says that Moshe’s hands grew heavy, and Rashi asks how could this be, and sites a medrash that answers that Hashem was punishing Moshe for sending Yehoshua and not going to fight himself!
So apparently our Yeshiva Bochrim are better than Moshe Rabeinu, because it’s OK for them to sit and let others protect Bnei Yisroel, but not for Moshe Rabeinu!
