U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is questioning the willingness of Russian President Vladimir Putin to seek peace in Ukraine as the leaders of Germany and France are seeking such a deal in Moscow.
Biden said Friday at European Union headquarters in Brussels that Putin “continues to call for new peace plans as his troops roll through the Ukrainian countryside and he absolutely ignores every agreement that his country has signed in the past.”
Biden insists the 28-nation EU and the United States need to stand together and support the government of Ukraine with financial and political aid.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande were heading to Moscow on Friday to press for peace in eastern Ukraine, where Russian-backed rebels were fighting government troops.

That’s rude. Putim is all for peace. He wants to peacefully annex Ukraine, and maybe the rest of Eastern Europe. It is only those eviltons who are starting a war by refusing to be annexed (those East Europeans, do you realize Poland starting World War II by turning down the equally (compared to Putin) peaceful Germans.
Akuperma, you are wrong again. The West view of the conflict is very biased. Many in Eastern Ukraine want to be annexed by Russia. Speaking of Poland, what do you have to say about the recent statement of their FM about the Ukrainians liberating Auschwitz?
