Given the escalating security situation in the North of Israel, United Hatzalah HQ has raised emergency readiness levels for rescue units in the Carmel, Asher, Galilee and Golan regions within the 60 second shelter time of short-range missiles from Lebanon and Syria. Volunteers in the rest of the country have been instructed to maintained increased situational awareness and report to team leaders individual readiness to bolster northern units if and when the need arises.
All medics in the front-line regions are required to keep close communication with United Hatzalah dispatch 24/7, alert team leaders of changes to operational status and maintain medical/trauma kits at maximum capacity until further notice. Members that are volunteer in the United Hatzalah hospital auxiliary units in Rambam Medical Center, Western Galilee Hospital and Afula – Emek Medical Center are urged to register for readiness shifts immediately. Volunteers are to follow Home Front Command instructions with regard to actions after missile impacts and when entering collapsed or partially collapsed buildings.
Further instructions and updates will be delivered to heads of chapters in close cooperation with the Home Front Command and the Israeli Defense Forces. All necessary protective equipment such as bulletproof vests and helmets are being delivered to volunteers in the affected regions.

I am confident that each and every one of you will do your share to ensure that if the siren sounds, the explosions ring out and cries for help are heard, the volunteers of United Hatzalah will be there.
