The Gerrer Rebbe Shlita left Eretz Yisrael on motzei Shabbos Parshas Bo for the United States on what is being hailed a “Chizuk mission”. The rebbe is accompanied by his son HaRav Nechemia Alter and gabboim Shmuel Baruch Landau and Leibel Posenevsky. Also accompanying them is the head of Mosdos Gur in Eretz Yisrael, Rav Yonasan Bernstein.
Chassidim in the United States were only informed of the rebbe’s spontaneous decision after Shabbos US time.
The details of the visit have not been revealed to chassidim in Israel but is reported the rebbe will likely remain abroad for two weeks and a stopover will be made in Europe.

Are Mosdos Ger not included in the good Jews of the USA? Not sure I understand the comment, or even want to.
Most likely the visit is intended to be mechaazek the local Gerrer chassidim. They number in the thousands and a Rebbe’s job is to inspire, imbue and teach them. He’s a manhig of a huge עדה and his visit will do just that!
