Rockets continue to fall in southern Israel. One person was lightly injured from shrapnel in an attack in the Eshkol region a short time ago.
Barzilai Hospital Director Dr. Shimon Shafer explains that all victims treated in the facility are transferred to another hospital as quickly as possible since the hospital is not fortified against rocket attacks. The emergency room was moved into the basement but the operating rooms remain unprotected.
About 40 rockets have fallen in southern Israel on Sunday, resulting in 11 injuries and additional hysteria patients. All the injuries are classified as light.
The IDF on Sunday also eliminated two senior terrorists in Gaza in targeted surgical strikes. Muhammad Hilo and senior Hamas official Hussein Hamdan, who was targeted in the Khan Yunis area.
Fighting in Gaza is reported by various Arab media sources as being heavy, with IDF troops involved in house-to-house searches. (Yechiel Spira – YWN Israel)
