Livni: Bennett & Netanyahu Prevented the Possibility of the Release of Jonathan Pollard

pollardnFormer Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, number 2 on the Labor/The Movement list, used a closed forum election event in Tel Aviv to retaliate against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Livni spoke to her audience on Tuesday evening 29 Teves, explaining the tenacious insistence of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Economy Minister Naftali Bennett regarding the PA (Palestinian Authority) resulted in the failure of any possibility towards the release of Jonathan Pollard. “The goal is to replace Prime Minister Netanyahu, to get him out of office” she explained. “All party leaders including Kahlon, Lapid, and Lieberman believe it is time for a new leader” she added. She was speaking to a private group in the home of Danny and Lizi Doron.

When asked if she would enter a coalition with Netanyahu she explained “Been there done that”, telling them “The insistence of Bennett and Netanyahu regarding clauses pertaining to the negotiations with the PA prevented the possibility of the release of Pollard and the fourth group of PA prisoners.

She cited many examples to detail her utter disapproval of the prime minister and his policies, accusing Netanyahu “of brainwashing the public” but insists no matter what he says, Israel has fallen considerably in the eyes of the international community and world leaders do not want to deal with him. She warned that while the brainwashing continues Israel is being isolated diplomatically and the people remain unaware. She attacked the prime minister for his recent statements portraying Europe as anti-Semitic and for “taking advantage of his position” during his visit following the fatal terror attack in the Paris kosher supermarket.

She accuses the residents of Yehuda and Shomron of “endangering the future of Zionism” and the needs to cut from the PA (Palestinian Authority) residents to maintain a Jewish majority in the state.

Livni told participants that prior to the last elections she spoke with Yair Lapid and tried to persuade him from teaming up with Naftali Bennett but he was unwilling to listen at the time. “What can I say? Yair did not want to be photographed next to people with beards but Bennett is more chareidi than the chareidim on many issues including his objections to civil marriage, kashrus and conversions”.

  1. As long as Obama has a say in Mr. Pollard’s release, there is no hope—when he leaves office there is hope of Mr. Pollard’s release.

When ALL Jews observe each Shabbos, do more Talmud Torah, more davvening and more deeds of kindness–in short ALL Jews must be Torah observant–then and then only will Israel have peace !!

  2. Washington Attempt to Repeat Wye Double Cross Thwarted Pollard Deal
    Dr. Aaron Lerner

According to well informed highly placed sources, the deal to release
Jonathan Pollard in exchange for the release of pre-Oslo terrorists to
facilitate the extension of Palestinian Israeli talks fell apart because of
what appeared to be an attempt by the Obama team to pull off a repeat of
    the Wye double cross.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had an understanding with President
Clinton that Jonathan Pollard would be released in return for Israel
accepting a deal at the 1998 Wye Summit. But after Netanyahu accepted the
agreement, Clinton reneged on freeing Pollard.

This time around Netanyahu insisted on written documentation that Pollard
was being released. But on 1 April 2014 the Obama team dragged its feet,
telling Netanyahu that the paperwork was on the way and that he should
already put in motion Israel’s part of the deal.

The hours went by and Netanyahu stood his ground.

And the Obama team kept dragging its feet.

The clock ran out that night when Mahmoud Abbas signed off on documents to
join 15 international agencies – a move that killed the prospects that
    negotiations would continue.
