During a visit to southern Israel on Monday, 28 Teves, Shas party leader Aryeh Deri was asked who he backs for prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu or Yitzchak Herzog. The question is a relevant one for each party leader meets with President Reuven Rivlin and must suggest to whom the president should give the mandate to form a coalition government. Often voters want to know in advance who a party will select.
Yachad party leader Eli Yishai has already announced that he will recommend Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Deri responded that he will recommend whoever will look after the underprivileged and be more willing to work with Shas to address issues that are important to the party.
During a walk through in Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva, Deri said “Southern residents live fewer years than Israelis in the center of the country. That have more stress and have a more difficult life and enjoy fewer services than residents in the center of the country”. Deri was escorted by Shas MKs Yitzchak Margi, Yitzchak Cohen and Yitzchak Vaknin. His host was reminded that in his capacity as Deputy Finance Minister, Yitzchak Cohen secured tens of millions of shekels for hospitals in the periphery, but they are still lacking beds.
Deri never gave a definitive answer to the question as to whom he will recommend to form the coalition.

Whoever gives the money$$$
Corrupt people
How can anyone in their right mind take any of this skit seriously ???? I can’t believe what I’m seeing. It’s like a cartoon !!!!!!!
The problem with Deri, as so well put by Rav Ovadia, is that he is not to be trusted.
He will support anyone who is PM, as long as he can suck out money for $ha$ and he can have a position in the government.
He is totally dangerous, as said by Rav Ovadia, and hopefully some one will realize that and not vote for him.
Deri will recommend whomever he feels will give $ha$ the most money. That is his sole campaign platform.
Deri will support whichever party offers him the most in terms of minmizing conscription of yeshvia students, and patronage (in particular, in terms of money for Shas’s programs).
One should note that Lapid, and probably Lieberman, would be very much opposed to Shas being inthe government.
If Herzog needs Arab support to form a government, he might want Shas (along with Yahadut ha-Torah) for “cover”.
It would be stupid to say now 2 month before the election things can still change 100 times that’s the way it works in israel if something he should announced it a few days before the election who he will choose, and also let’s say he wants to choose bibi but he doesn’t want to announce it because he wants bibi should offer shas/charedi zibur thing for it.
