In response to the twin hostage crises currently unfolding in France, the New York City Council’s Jewish Caucus issued the following statement:

“All New Yorkers are standing on edge as horrific Islamist terrorist attacks unfold outside Paris, including a kosher super market, on the heels of Wednesday’s heinous attack on the freedom of speech. We express solidarity with the people of France in this difficult moment. This incident is a terrible reminder of the grave threat terrorism poses to us all, and in particular Jewish communities–whether they be in Paris, Jerusalem, or New York. We must stand united in the global fight against this scourge.”
