The IDF Homefront Command has ordered all schools in Beersheva to remain closed today, Wednesday, following the Katyusha rocket attacks in the capital of the Negev on Tuesday night, the decision impacts some 43,000 children.
Ben-Gurion University in the Negev will also remain closed today.
Beersheba Mayor Rubik Danilovich explained that he is grateful the attacks on Tuesday night ended without physical injuries, although over 50 people were treated in Soroka Medical Center for hysteria. The mayor added it was a matter of time, aware that as Hamas expanded its attacks the city would be hit. He is calling on residents to remain calm and follow the instructions of the IDF’s Homefront Command officials.

Possible that Ben-Gurion University will be open, they say that it was not a official request from Homefront Command.
