At this time, it is unclear if this shooting incident is connected in any way to the shooting attack on Wednesday that left 12 people dead and others wounded.
Officials report that one of the suspects in Wednesday’s shooting, an 18-year-old named Muhad, turned himself into police after learning on social networks that he is wanted by police. He is described as homeless and French news adds he is a relative to the two other suspects who are still at large. It is believed he may have provided shelter and assistance to the two suspects following the fatal attack.
10:38: France24 reports two shells were recovered at the scene, which came from an automatic assault rifle.
The shooting this morning took place a few hundred meters from the Paris ring road.
11:09: One person is in custody at the scene but the gunman remains at large. The vehicle the gunman fled in was recovered in a nearby suburb. There does not appear to see any connection to the fatal shooting on Wednesday.
