Shula Zaken to be Released from Prison in the Coming Days

olfShula Zaken, who was Ehud Olmert’s bureau chief and close confidant for decades, will soon be a free person. Zaken was sentenced to 11 months imprisonment for her role in illegal activities. The parole board this week ruled that one-third of her sentence will be wiped off in line with standard protocol for prisoners exhibiting good behavior.

Zaken has become the star state witness in the ongoing trials against the former prime minister, and while he is fighting in the Supreme Court to remain a free man, Zaken is expected to be home for Shabbos.
