A suspicious package on Coney Island Avenue forced the full closure of the street causing a traffic nightmare, Monday morning. The NYPD was on the scene around 9:00AM, investigating the package on Coney and 18th Avenue. The NYPD Emergency Services Bomb Squad Units responded, and after investigating the package, it was deemed harmless.
The street was quickly opened, but residual delays lingered for quite some time – as the city buses were trying to make their way down the side streets.

that area is very Muslim, so who would they be harming, sometimes the NYPD needs basic seichel.
At the Kotel today, a woman put down her heavy purse on the plaza & walked away. Being an idiot, I went after to her to give it back (after it sat there for a few minutes) but she was too busy trying to be mekarev 2 women who were desperate to escape. They were happy I interrupted them – she wasn’t. When will people learn? We live in dangerous times.

A video of the bomb-squad inspecting the package would have been more normal.
