150 Shas activists from around Israel have signed a letter to Aryeh Deri calling on him to retract his decision to resign. The letter is the initiative of Hadera Shas activist Boaz Biton.
Deri supporters feel that he is Shas and without him, Shas never would have become the party it has become. They blame an unmentioned evil person for doing what he did, “to spill Maran’s blood and your blood on the same day, hence violating אותו ואת בנו ביום אחד.”
They call on Deri to step up to save Maran’s “life’s enterprise” despite the pain and suffering he had endured.
“Like all the rabbonim, we, representatives of municipalities in the Holy Land and deputy mayors, members of city councils turn to you with a broken heart and tears in our eyes, Rav Aryeh, come back home…”
“In the name of Toras Yisrael, Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael, we turn to you and compel you to once again respond to the president of the Moetzas Gedolei Hatorah, HaGaon HaRav Shalom Cohen Shlita as well as the other members, the Geoni Olam that have decreed that you should return to head the holy party with a mighty hand”.
The letter continues with additional words of encouragement and support for Deri.

And so the show goes on. Deri dragged back into the Knesset ‘against his will’ by public demand (that he, of course, did not coordinate). Who does he think he’s fooling? Pathetic.

If they had any respect for Maran, these would crawl back into their caves and hope that over time, the Rav will be remembered as a great talmid chacham and his political shenanigans will be forgotten. Everyone knows by now that Maran had contempt for Deri in private and now that contempt for a convicted felon is public knowledge. Deri and the Yosef children seem intent on dragging the Rav’s memory through the mud

I don’t understand this whole lie that the Deri camp is putting out that yishai politicalist Maran. It’s not a secret that Maran who was 1 of the biggest in our generation was a big political figure that’s what he held one of his tafkids in this world was. For heavens sake he opened up Shas. So don’t let Deri’s camp sell you any of their garbage about Yishai. Besides what’s this whole video about if Maran was not politicaly involved…….
#3 shouldn’t talk that way. His conviction was a framing. He did a lot for the party. Believing the video is קבלת לשון הרע ורכילות. Maran spoke privately many things that he didn’t go by in public. I don’t know what is going on and it’s a hugh dramatic game. The Sephardim need representation in the govt, although maybe not through Shas.
So neither Deri nor Yishai claim to be in control of things – IT’S OTHERS WHO ARE DOUNG IT!!
