*12:38: The cabinet on Sunday approved activating 6,700 IDF reservists to take part in Operation Cast Lead.
*12:57: From the last wave of rockets in Ashkelon, three people were lightly wounded and others treated for hysteria.
*12:59: Technical malfunction in the delivery of gas to the Ashkelon power station resulted in power outages in cities in the center of the country. Firefighters are still working to extricate people from elevators in a number of areas.
*13:22: Border policemen lightly injured by Arabs rioting in Shuafat.
*13:42: Route 85 near Dir el-Assad (Akko-Carmel Road). Rock attacks against vehicles. At least one vehicle was damaged.
*14:07: Kassam rocket lands in W. Negev area.
*14:44: El-Za’im Checkpoint near Maale Adumim – Police bomb demolition technicians are checking a suspicious vehicle occupied by at least one Arab male wearing a yarmulke.
*14:45: A police chopper is involved in a chase after a vehicle carrying five Arabs who evaded an area checkpoint in the Route 412 area. They entered Moshav Zeitan in the Shfeila area, abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
*14:53: PA reports air force strike in Jabalya killing two terrorists, bringing the death toll to 285.
*14:55: During a violent anti-fence protest in Na’alin, concrete blocks were thrown at police who fired at the crowd, killing one and leaving one in critical condition. Soldiers uninjured Baruch Hashem. The wounded were transported to a hospital in a PA Red Crescent ambulance.
*14:57: Arabs in eastern Yerushalayim protesting ongoing Gaza offensive.
*15:02: El-Jazeera reports Lebanese army troops used teargas to disperse a protest against the IDF operation in Gaza. The protest was outside the Egyptian Embassy in Beirut.
*15:08: Police were targeted in rock-throwing attacks in Shuafat. A border policeman was lightly injured. Two Arab youths were taken into custody.
*15:09: About two dozen Arabs gathered at Shar Shechem (Nablus Gate) of Jerusalem’s Old City to protest the IDF offensive in Gaza.
*15:10: Arabs in the A-Tor area of eastern Yerushalayim are rolling burning tires at Yeshivat Bet Orot as well as throwing rocks at the building. Police report that 22 Arabs were arrested since motzei Shabbos in eastern Jerusalem, all involved in the violence.
*The Education Ministry opened a hotline information number for southern area residents – 1-800-250-025.
*15:18: Five Arabs involved in stone-throwing attacks on Salah a-Din Street, near the Jerusalem District Court, have been arrested.
*The Interior Ministry has opened a southern area situation room to assist coordinating with local governmental leaders – 08-626-3800.
*15:51: Two Kassam rockets land in the Eshkol Regional Council. No injuries are reported.
*15:55: Two Arab youths from Um el-Fahm, ages 10 and 11, appear to have been wounded by security forces’ gunfire as a result of efforts to halt rock-throwing attacks. The two were transported to Ha’emek Hospital in Afula. Their condition is not known.
*16:00: Dozens of IDF tanks and armored personnel carriers can be seen taking up position along the Gaza border.
*16:24: Rockets launched towards Ashkelon.
*16:54: Three Arabs were arrested for throwing rocks at a bus in the Wadi Joz area of eastern Yerushalayim. There were no injuries. There was damage to the bus.
*17:12: A large number of PA (Palestinian Authority) residents broke through the Rafiach Crossing and are making their way to Sinai. No more information at this time.
