The IDF Homefront Command on Sunday afternoon ordered Ashkelon’s Chutzot and Giron Shopping Centers closed due to the current situation.

A rocket slammed into Chutzot in May, leading to deaths and injuries (as reported HERE on YWN). Barzilai hospital treated close to 100 victims in that attack.

Ashkelon was hit with a number of rockets on Sunday and the city is by all accounts included in the warfare that seems to be spreading deeper into Israel.
