Rav Amnon Yitzchak told participants in a shiur that Shas officials owe him 250,000 NIS since the party took discs from his Shofar organization and sold them, but he never received the money. He added that he has turned to Shas, the party’s former leader Eli Yishai, Yitzchak Vaknin, and sons of Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L but no one is responding. Rav Yitzchak added that Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L gave his personal guarantee the money would be repaid.
“f you are all so concerned with the rav’s kovod, why aren’t any of his sons paying the debt” asked Rav Amnon. “Go ask Rav Yitzchak Vaknin who knows the details and he will confirm the money is owed to me” he added.

Is it really necessary to post this?
Since Shas is a separate legal entity and not an individual, hence Eli Yishai has nothing more to do with this debt [if it exists] and is the wrong venue to extricate this money. Of-course he could be a potential Eid [Witness].

After all the צער he caused to חכם עבדיה and shash and all the votes he took away from shash was ridiculous if anything he bashed and made fun of חכם עבדיה who was a leading posek of our generation.
Yes, sad but hardly surprising given the Israeli religious parties approach to money and bein odom l’chaveiro. Now if we were talking about a serious issur like having a phone with Internet access, the world would be falling in but what is a monetary debt between friends, or ex-friends.
