Thanks to an alert person, a potential cop-killer was arrested by the NYPD.
On Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:39PM, police responded to a 911 call of threats to kill police at 80th Street and Metropolitan Avenue within the confines of the 104th Precinct. Upon arrival, officers met with a 54 year-old male witness who stated that while he was inside of a TD Bank located at 79-55 Metropolitan Avenue, he overheard a male on his cell phone having a conversation about killing cops and possessing firearms in his house.
The suspect left the location prior to the arrival of the police.
This prompted the officers to transmit a description of the individual over the department radio and responding officers began to canvass for the unidentified male.
During the canvass, a male fitting the description was observed entering a vehicle in the rear of 6626 Metropolitan Avenue. Uniformed officers in a marked patrol car followed the vehicle and a short distance later conducted a car stop at the intersection of Metropolitan Avenue and Rentar Plaza. The male exited the vehicle and a small plastic bag containing alleged marijuana was observed in plain view in the front seat area of the vehicle. The witness positively identified the suspect at which time he was placed under arrest and transported to the 104th Precinct Station House for further investigation.
Police then responded to the suspect’s home located at 72-34 Edsall Avenue and obtained verbal and written consent from his spouse to search the residence. Two firearms, two bullet resistant vests, brass knuckles and a holster were recovered from the residence.
38 year-old Elvin Payamps was arrested and charged with:
Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Loaded Firearm
Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Defaced Weapon
Criminal Possession of a Weapon
Unlawful Possession of Marihuana
The NYPD asks all New Yorkers to please remain vigilant, and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.

Hmmm. Did the cops have a “search warrant”? Will we hear a peep out of Eric Witholder on this one? Or was this just a “set up” by those evil white cops?
Yes, Notgettinginvolved. “Police then responded to the suspect’s home located at 72-34 Edsall Avenue and obtained verbal and written consent from his spouse to search the residence.” Looks like they followed protocol. Eric the Not-So-Great has plenty of issues worth “HOLD”ing against him, but I suspect he won’t find even a needle hole to sneak thru on this one. Anyway, no black person was killed. Reserve comments to where they fit.
They don’t need a search warrant if they get consent, which it says they did, both oral and written.
Just because two innocent Police Officers were killed, does not mean that all corrupt and disrespectful cops became good. I still mistrust them.
I wonder if the Marijuana was really there, or was deposited as a convenient excuse to conduct a ‘Car Stop’.
