Former IDF Chief Rabbi Avichai Ronsky spoke with chareidi radio in Israel on Tuesday night 1 Teves explaining the Bayit Yehudi party’s position on Daas Torah.
Ronsky addressed allegations that the dati leumi party does not adhere to Daas Torah as often been the case. He stated that while the chareidi parties ask for a psak and adhere to the instruction of rabbonim, Bayit Yehudi consults with its rabbonim and ultimately, the politicians and not the rabbonim have the final word.
Ronsky added that in actuality, he is not aware of a single case in which the party acted contrary to the instructions of HaGaon HaRav Chaim Druckman Shlita, adding the rav generally showered party leaders with praise for their actions and not the contrary.
Rabbi Ronsky stressed that reports the dati leumi party acts independent of its rabbonim are not true.

Well, you just said that it *is* true, didn’t you?
Sounds eerily similar to the way Judaism of yesteryear handled balance of powers. Sanhedrin decided Halacha and the Malchus handled gov’t affairs
Makes sense to me!
Let’s not beat around the bush. The issue is not that the Habayit Hayehudi does not follow daat torah but rather that D”L hashkafa does not accept that there is daat torah on every subject as charedim believe. So D”L rabbis do not pasken or issue opinions as ‘daat torah’ on many issues, including specifically on purely political questions. D”L politicians may and frequently do consult with rabbis on such issues but neither the politicians nor the rabbis see this as seeking a psak or ‘daat torah’. It is a major difference in hashkafa between charedim and D”L. And while there are a few charda”l rabbis who hold by the charedi shita on this issue they are very much a minority opinion. Habayit Hayehudi adheres to the mainstream D”L hashkafa as propounded by almost all D”L rabbis, poskim and rosh yeshivas.
#2,
dovid hamelech ruled based off of beis din
There are many that ask advice/atzos from Rabbanim all over the world and the Rav/R”Y will give his advice and tell the person to then decide what his path will be.
#5- For every decision of his on every subject? Could you refer me to your sources?
1) I think some of you are forgetting that Dovid HaMelech, z”l was a Gadol B”Yisrael and was chosen by Hashem Yisborach to be Melech. He was Daas Torah!! (Not to mention that he consulted with other Gedolim.) These fools, on the other hand, are just a bunch of Am Ha’aratzim whom Shas and Poskim are not part of their credentials to become politicians. Their endeavors are based on mortal limitations and not based on a G-d given Torah. As Rabbi Ronsky stated, these politicians have the final say, not their Rabbonim. They are surely destined to falter and bring shame to their families.
2) If the politicians have the final word, then that sounds to me that Rav Druckman is no more important than a YES man. His opinion is nothing more than another mortal’s opinion to be contemplated or disregarded. Sad!
why doesnt YW care that their article are written incompetently as the above article demonstrates. The last sentence in the article is incoherent in light of the rest of the article
