The mother of the man who ambushed and killed two New York City police officers says he’d had psychological problems all his life, but his family never had any indication he would attack police.
Ismaaiyl Brinsley’s mother tells the Daily News in a story published Tuesday that she’s horrified and “deeply sorry” about what her son did.
Shakuwra Dabre says her 28-year-old son made suicide attempts starting at age 13, was institutionalized and was on and off antidepressants for years. She says that he rebuffed his family’s pleas to get help and that she last spoke to him in July.
Police say Brinsley vowed online to kill officers before he shot Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos Saturday. Brinsley then killed himself.

Very sad all around.
So how did he get a hold of a gun and keep that gun after his previous crimes?
I think it’s disgusting that reporters approach parents. In the hardest time of their life they really need to prepare news statements?
Right, but if you read her facebook page you see enough hatered spewed there that can inspire a whole nation. You don’t educate or inspire your kids or family, then thats the hole you dig yourselves.
Why don’t you show his other picture the one that doesn’t make him look so innocent
