A request from Finance Minister Roni Bar-On to extend an aid program for hard-hit Sderot businesses have been approved. The Knesset Finance Committee on Tuesday approved continued aid for businesses in the Gaza-belt area, many of which have suffered significant losses due to ongoing rocket attacks.

The latest extension is until June 30, 2009.
